Great Tribulation, Such As Has Not, Or Ever Will Be Seen

Matthew 24:21-22  For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.

This is somewhat of a continuation of my last post because it focuses on the virus and how we look at it with “spiritual eyes.” As I mentioned in the last post, so far this virus doesn’t come close to the pandemics that the world has experienced. Some of them are discussed here, under “Notable Outbreaks.”

In my experience of witnessing to Christians that I am related to or have had discussions of Bible prophecy, a common verse keeps getting reminded to me.

1 Thessalonians 5:9-10  For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

Verse 10 should give us a clue as to how God sees the “long sleep,” or death. Death to a Christian is a move Up, Really it is. God does take the passing of a life seriously and compassionately though.

Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.

My most common response to the God hath not appointed us to wrath verse is, “so do you think God didn’t love His Apostles, Prophets, Saints throughout history who were killed sometimes as cruelly as Yeshua Jesus was killed.” And what about our modern day martyrs who have been beheaded at the hands of ISIS only for not renouncing their faith in Jesus? Or the Kurdish Christians who have lost everything including their lives in the enemy’s attempt to wipe them off the face of the earth? Does God love them less and so has allowed them to suffer in such ways?

The American Gospel of Prosperity and “Living Your Best Life Now” and winking at the needs of Christian Brothers and Sisters throughout the world has done at least two things. It’s made them Better Carnal Christians and has not prepared them for when the REAL Great Tribulation comes. Some people may even be wondering if this is part of the Great Tribulation. I believe we are still only in the warning period before it REALLY gets started. You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet!!! Read Revelation.

We have seen unusual flooding in recent years. I wrote an email to Bishop Drew after I first started attending Faith Cathedral about 5 years ago.

Part of my 1st email to Bishop Drew on April 20, 2016 said this, For the past 24 years, whether I was walking in obedience to the best of my ability or with one foot in the world, I have had two mantras. One saying is “if God doesn’t punish America for the sins committed as a nation, He will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah but God ain’t in the apologizing business”. I don’t have to tell how much deeper in sin America has fallen in the last 20 years and it only reinforces my conviction. I think the time of God pulling away His hand from America is very near. My other mantra has been according to 2 Chron. 7:14, “it’s us christians fault that God doesn’t heal our land because of our sinful ways. He calls for us “my people” to repent and turn from our wicked ways. Then He would listen to our prayer”. For over a year I have been reading and learning of what true repentance is, by listening to messages of Richard Owen Roberts. As in 2 Corin. 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. And he preaches on the link between repentance and revival. From there it’s lead me to learn of how revival came about in the past. I was dumbfounded when reading of how God moved in the accounts of Revival on the Isle of Lewis. The stories of how the Holy Spirit convicted people of their sin no matter where they were during the day or night was astonishing. I downloaded and still listen to God’s agent, Duncan Campbell’s messages of how God moved and “why” He moved. The way I understand it, less than a dozen people truly repented before a Holy God, humbled themselves, asked God to reveal any sin in their heart and really sought the Face of God. Isaiah 44:3 was the plea reminding God of what He said He would do.

Part of my 2nd email to Bishop Drew from May 2, 2016 said – While working at night when I had time to pray, I began to wonder about all the flooding for the past year I have heard about on the news around Houston. I believe the flooding that cancelled the scheduled Revive America event (at our church) and the unprecedented devastation caused by flooding that has been occurring month by month for over a year now is but a harbinger of things to come. I believe, God in His infinite mercy is shaking America, pleading for us to wake up and repent for the wrath and kingdom of God are at hand. I can not evaluate the recorded weather events of over a year and believe in an infinite God having a blind eye to allow these events to occur without His permission. Even insurance companies have enough sense to call these events ” acts of God”, can’t we Christians wake up and smell the coffee.

Leviticus 26:3-43 3“‘If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, 4 I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit.

Job 37:11-1311 He loads the clouds with moisture; he scatters his lightning through them. 12 At his direction they swirl around over the face of the whole earth to do whatever he commands them. 13 He brings the clouds to punish people or to water his earth and show his love.

“Flood” is elsewhere used as the symbol of an overwhelming divine judgment. For example, in Isaiah 8:8 the invasion of Judah by the king of Assyria will sweep on into Judah; “it will overflow and pass through.” In Nahum 1:8, the Lord “with an overflowing flood” will make a complete end of Nineveh’s site and “pursue His enemies into darkness.” Daniel informs us that Antichrist’s end will come in “the flood” of God’s end-time judgment (Daniel 9:26).

The Major Flash Floods That Have Hit Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas in the Last Year – The Weather Channel – April 18, 2016

That email listed 13 major flooding events and gave the details of how bad they were. One thing I noticed about where they occured is that it’s the locations of some of the biggest churches, “Coincidence,” I Don’t believe in them.

Then we have gone through the warning of large parts of America burning, recently Australia has made the news too on that.

As Pastor Wanda, Bishop Drew’s wife mentioned in a recent Livestream service, “we have to understand that God is allowing these things to happen.”

As Leviticus, Job, Isaiah, Nahum, and Daniel pointed out in my email, floods point to God’s judgment on a nation. Consuming fire does also.

If America is “One Nation Under God” it’s time to wake up. God made this promise to Israel and if we are His Nation we should see proof of in by what He said here,

Deuteronomy 11:10-12 For the land which you go to possess is not like the land of Egypt from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and watered it by foot, as a vegetable garden; 11 but the land which you cross over to possess is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks water from the rain of heaven, 12 a land for which the Lord your God cares; the eyes of the Lord your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year.

Almost every day for the last month I am watering my garden and fruit trees with a water hose, “BY FOOT,” as God has explained. I am living under the judgment of God’s disapproval of our nation every day. I too could catch the Covid-19 virus and it could be the end of my earthly life and bring my move UP!!! I personally wouldn’t be suffering God’s Wrath on a personal level because I know how consecrated my life has been to Him.

The sooner the church in America wakes up and takes responsibility for the sins of this nation I think it’s the sooner we could see “Biblical Revival.” It won’t stop the Great Tribulation from coming because that would violate the Word of God and to be precise, the Words of Yeshua Jesus Christ in the book of Revelation, Matthew and Luke.

True Revival, NOT the gimmick ones preset by dates man has declared and decreed for when and where God will show up may come to America before the Great Tribulation but I seriously have my doubts. The floods, the fires and now pestilence have been here and we as a nation only sinks deeper into sinful laws, and practices. Christians are beginning to get a taste of persecution for only trying to uphold their own Christian standards. The courts side with the worker of iniquity that go out to “test” Christians resolve, destroying their businesses and lives.

That’s not the worst part. The churches have not prepared Carnal Christians in the event they live to experience a portion of the Great Tribulation. How many will question God’s Love and Care for them when the tribulation strikes close to home. What will their 5th car, $4,000 tennis shoes or bursting bank accounts do for them when they come to believe God has abandoned them.

I can still see in my minds eye one day when I first became a “Born Again with God’s Spirit” Christian. Anchoring out at the end of a day of shrimping and after getting cleaned up, I began to read in the Thompson Bible my dad gave me,

John 13:23 Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.

That thought sunk in deep. Staying close to Jesus will make Jesus love me more. Later I read in John’s Gospel how Jesus liked to eat fish and I thought, “me too.” But I had already learned that John had been boiled in oil but didn’t suffer. Was he scared from it? I don’t know but I imagine he was as a testimony of his dedication to serve God. In this world I may suffer some things that were never intended for me personally. Just like the faithful of Israel suffered the judgment of God in lack of rain to bring famine to bring repentance. Just like Christians were burned as torches to light the emperor’s parties. And some were mauled by beasts to entertain a wicked and perverse generation, not much different than the sport some people make of destroying the lives of Christians willing to suffer for their convictions in America today. That’s a real picture of our America today, our “One Nation Under God.”

Read the book of Revelation. No matter if America repents and revival comes, the book won’t be rewritten for our sake. That’s only American PRIDE projecting its ugly head. I believe and have so for a long time that I will live to see the rapture. With that is the fact that I too may experience a portion of the Great Tribulation. But Jesus gave me this promise, “but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.”

He Didn’t Say By How Much.

ALL the bridesmaids were “Christians.” But I think the carnal ones “bought their oil” from the shysters that had made merchandise of the “House of God.” The “REAL” Christians got their oil from the Holy Spirit.

  1. Thank you for the video, it was a great blessing. About a week ago in this post I wrote,
I spoke about a study of the prophet Elijah because of a sermon I’d heard that made Elijah sound like a failure. That sermon went so far as to say that God told Elijah, “go find Elisha, anoint him to take your place, you’re done, washed up, your ministry is finished.” That was never the image of Elijah I understood in reading scripture. That also troubled me because I was concidering retiring from work, I’m soon to be 66. My mind thought, will I be a failure too to retire now. Am I quiting? A few months later I made the decision to retire with Elijah still in mind. One day in my daily bible study, a verse of the day, 1 of 4 I follow, got my attention. The rest of that story is in the post titled, 153, Sons of God.
I like your name, when it comes to the Word of God, I’m a tearwipertoo. I think God has a few bottles filled with tears of gratefulness and love for God’s compassion He has and continuely shows me.
I pray the Blessing of Numbers 6:24-26 be on you and yours, amen.
