Purim 2020

Today is the 1st day of Purim, the 10th of Adar on the Hebrew calendar. The Bible book of Esther tells the historical account of the events that took place. The entire story and related events cover more than a year. There is a proverb that sums up the main idea of story,

Proverbs 26:27 NLT If you set a trap for others, you will get caught in it yourself. If you roll a boulder down on others, it will crush you instead

I wrote a post last year about a prophetic event hidden in the Book of Esther, probably only one of many.

In today’s devotional reading from MyDailyBible app, DailyPlan : one-year-tract : 2020-03-10 #Bible https://www.mydailybible.org/dp/esv/one-year-tract/2020-03-10.htm twice are these words mentioned about Jesus,

Luke 24:25-27 And he said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?” 27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

Luke 24:44-49 Then he said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” 45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, 46 and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, 47 and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things. 49 And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”

The Word of God IS a Living Word. Jesus, Our Dear Heavenly Father or the Precious Holy Spirit can “quicken” any Bible passage to a readers understanding if He so chooses. The Living Word of God has the power to transform minds, hearts and lives. It is when the Word of God becomes “real” to you that God really becomes real to you. It is then that you begin to realize that God is communicating with you on a personal level. What an awesome thought!!!!

So how should we approach this revelation from God and relay what we learn to others? The verse of the day from MyDailyBible app directs the proper attitude,

Proverbs 29:23 A man’s pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit will retain honor.

I am only the dust of the earth, a piece of clay in my Dear Heavenly Fathers hands. As awesome and amazing the thought of God teaching me things in His Word is, that I can share it with others, this scripture keeps me in check,

Numbers 22:28 KJVS
And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?

God uses what He chooses to communicate with us, even a donkey. But only of mankind does it say that God Loves in scripture. Todays Tecarta verse of the day reminds me of that,

1 John 3:1 KJV
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

I pray that you too know Almighty God as your Dear Heavenly Father who is ever watching with a ring and a robe for the return of one of His lost sheep. Grasping the Love of God in your heart and mind IS more awesome and amazing than understanding His Word. Oh LORD, Teach Us to Listen for and to You!!!

Esther 6:10 Then the king said to Haman, “Hurry, take the robe and the horse, as you have suggested, and do so for Mordecai the Jew who sits within the king’s gate! Leave nothing undone of all that you have spoken.”

Luke 15:21-23 KJVS
And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. 22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: 23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it ; and let us eat, and be merry:
