How Accurate Is Our Bible?

There are times you may hear someone try to “rationalize” the things written in the Bible and say things like, “well it’s really just a metaphor, or an example to teach us how to live” kinda like the parables Jesus taught. So in other words, if you see what looks like an obvious error, like a mathematical one, it’s ok, it’s no big deal as long as you get the “big picture” it’s presenting. WRONG!!! Hint – That’s a Lie of the enemy!!!

Case in point, the mathematical error found in this verse about the The Molten Sea or Brazen Sea (ים מוצק yām mūṣāq “cast metal sea”). A large basin in the Temple in Jerusalem  made by  Solomon for washing of the priests. It is described in 1 Kings 7:23-26 and 2 Chronicles 4:2-5.

1 Kings 7:23  And he made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one brim to the other: it was round all about, and his height was five cubits: and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about.

It does say, “ten (10) cubits from one brim to the other” so “Brim to Brim” is easy enough to understand. And it does say “a line of thirty (30) cubits did compass it round about.” In geometry that would be a “diameter and a circumference” but as many 6th or 7th grade kids use to be able to tell you, “That’s NOT Right!” 10 x 3 = 30 but Pi is NOT 3, it’s 3.14159

Brazen Sea1

Radius – 10 cubits x (Pi) 3.14159 cubits  = Circumference – 31.4159 cubits, NOT 30, unless you’re using Common Core Math. In Common Core, it’s not the correct answer that matters, just that you tried. It’s also known as the “Dumbing Down of America.”

If God through the Holy Spirit REALLY did inspire men to write the Bible, “Letter by Letter” as is many times provable in the original text of the Bible, DON’T you think He knows “Real Math,” NOT the Common Core version?

Now for the answer to our dilemma. When the scribes that made copies of the Bible “thought” they found an error in the spelling of a word, they would write the “original” spelling of that word in the margin, or beside it in the text, and write what the “correct or accepted” spelling of that word should be. That is the case in this verse and is evident in the Hebrew Interlinear Bible.

Brazen Sea2

Hebrew like Greek uses the same symbols that form their letters as their numbers so any letter or word automatically has a “numerical value.” NO Smoke or Mirrors, just the assigned value of each letter added up. The original word has an extra letter that the substituted word “Does NOT Have”  The Letter Hei (ה).

Hey or Hei, is the 5th letter of the Hebrew alphabet and represents the “Divine Breath, Revelation and Light,” (Light is mentioned 5 times in the 1st day of creation, Genesis 1:3-4). It’s the letter added to Abram and Sarai’s names making them Abraham and Sarah. God’s Divine Breath came into them, kinda like when Jesus breathed on His disciples,

John 20:21-22 So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.

Has Jesus told you “Hey?”

In the original text, the original and the substituted “correct” spelling of the word “line” has values of,

  • P – Qef – 100,
  • vav-hebrew-letter– Vav – 6
  •  Image result for hey hebrew letter – Hey – 5

Original word Pvav-hebrew-letterImage result for hey hebrew letter = 111, NO Strong’s Number but God’s Divine Breath is There.

Substituted word Pvav-hebrew-letter= 106,  Strong’s H6961 Qaveh – a (measuring) cord (as if for binding): – line

So let’s use ONLY the values we have in the TEXT (10 x 3 = 30)  with the word values and see if it helps us get to something better than a “Common Core” answer,

Radius – 10 cubits x (Pi) 3.14159 cubits  = Circumference – 31.4159 cubits,

10 cubits x 3 x 111/106 = 31.41509433962

Or 111 divided by 106 = 1.047169811 x 10 x 3 = 31.41509433962

31.4159 31.41509 = 0.00081

In a circumference of about 46 feet, that’s an error of 8 Ten Thousandths of an inch. A human hair on average is 0.001 inch thick.

That’s an error of LESS Than a Human Hair in about 46 feet. God IS a Great Mathematician. Math has “Right or Wrong” answers.

There are other times in the Original Hebrew and Greek Text that things “Appear” hidden in the Word of God that PROVE Divine Authorship by a Being MUCH, MUCH, MUCH Wiser than any mortal man, even with the aid of supercomputers today. God IS, HOLY, HOLY, HOLY which is also saying He IS much more “Set Apart – Different” than anything we can begin to put limits on or imagine.

Galatians 6:7 KJV Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Only a Fool Would Think of Trying!!!

P. S. I finished writing and posted everything prior to this at about 1:30 am. What follows from here is what came to mind after praying to God before getting out of bed this morning.

I don’t think God is impressed or happy with “Common Core” teaching because God isn’t into “fuzzy math” or “fuzzy thinking.” God is into “Absolutes.” That’s the Word that came to mind before getting out of bed, ABSOLUTE.

Then some of the scriptures of this week’s Torah Portions, T49 – Ki Tetze – “When You Go Forth,” that were pondered in houses of worship yesterday and will be today came to mind so I got up and wrote this. As you read them, consider the discrepancy between God’s ABSOLUTEs and what the doctrines of men and devils have brought our minds to consider are acceptable.

Deuteronomy 22:

4 “You shall not see your brother’s donkey or his ox fall down along the road, and hide yourself from them; you shall surely help him lift them up again.

5 “A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the Lord your God.

6 “If a bird’s nest happens to be before you along the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs, with the mother sitting on the young or on the eggs, you shall not take the mother with the young; 7 you shall surely let the mother go, and take the young for yourself, that it may be well with you and that you may prolong your days.

9 “You shall not sow your vineyard with different kinds of seed, lest the yield of the seed which you have sown and the fruit of your vineyard be defiled.

10 “You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together.

11 “You shall not wear a garment of different sorts, such as wool and linen mixed together.

12 “You shall make tassels on the four corners of the clothing with which you cover yourself.

Ok, now my thoughts on what God is saying in these verses. We have to be concerned about our brothers welfare, even those who are strangers. Verse 5 is God’s “Clear and UNFuzzy” view of everything pertaining to the widely spread and widely promoted “Transsexual Agenda” and everything else it’s promoting. Nothing’s in the closet anymore.

As in verses 4 & 6, God is reaffirming His concern for ALL His creatures and that they should NEVER be abused or mistreated. What’s to misunderstand about, “that it may be well with you and that you may prolong your days.” Either you believe that or you don’t but in the end, read Galatians 6:7 again!!!

Verses 9, 10 & 11 is a picture of God’s view of “MIXED” anything. But in the “Bigger Picture” God’s Word has always warned of “Mixed Worship.” God has called His people to be a “Set Apart” people and reminds us of that from “cover to cover” in His Holy Inspired Word. This article brings up scriptures and reasoning,

That is one of the main reasons I believe God is NOT in favor of the COEXIST movement to bring ALL the forms of worship, of All forms of god’s (little g’s), even Satanist’s, under One Umbrella and say we are ALL God’s Children. You CAN”T be a child of the “Most High God” and Satan at the same time. That’s the Common Core, Fuzzy Reasoning, Dumbing Down teaching of the enemy. It’s the way the “One World Church” is being ushered in.

These two verses are NOT Commendations, Rather they are Accusations by the Holy Spirit Inspired Word of God,

Judges 17:6 In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.

Judges 21:25 In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.

In those days there was no king in Israel (Judges 18:1)
when there was no king in Israel (Judges 19:1)

The King it is alluding to is God, the King of All and should be the King of ALL mens hearts.

NOW for verse 12, “You shall make tassels on the four corners of the clothing with which you cover yourself.

In the KJV “tassels” is actually “Fringes” Strong’s H1434 – From H1431 (in the sense of twisting”; {thread} that {is} a tassel or festoon: – {fringe} wreath.

On this website, Tassels and Tzitzit –A Research Study Paper, we are told probably a lot more than we need to know about them. The main point is that they were put on clothing as “reminders of God’s Written Word” and that in everything we do, God’s Word and God’s Will should be considered, or consider that maybe the outcome of verse 6 will apply. “Long Life or Not So Long Life” Now or in Eternity.

Jesus, Himself wore Tassels (Tzitzits) on His garments. Did the Word of God made flesh need to be reminded of Himself, The Word of God made Flesh? I don’t think so but Jesus did come to set examples for us to follow. Living a life according to the Word of God was the “Main Point” Jesus always set before us.

The Tassels in themselves have NO Supernatural power. They are to remind us to “Seek, Obey and Attempt to Touch God” in ALL issues of life. God has ABSOLUTES. He doesn’t beat us over the head every time we don’t walk in them but some day we will give account for what we did with them.

Matthew 12:36 But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.

2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

1 Peter 4:5 They will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

2 Timothy 4:1-5  I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: 2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

One last thought to consider from this week’s Torah Portion. God is “Very Practical” and does paint us “Word” pictures so we can “get” the message. These next verses from them are as practical as it gets in a blunt and crude description,

Deuteronomy 23:12 “You shall have a place outside the camp, and you shall go out to it. 13 And you shall have a trowel with your tools, and when you sit down outside, you shall dig a hole with it and turn back and cover up your excrement. 14 Because YHWH your Elohim walks in the midst of your camp, to deliver you and to give up your enemies before you, therefore your camp must be holy, so that he may not see anything indecent among you and turn away from you.

Bluntly, God is saying, you get to choose if I will “walk in your midst” and be your Protector and Dwell with you. Do you think God will “Dwell & Protect” a person, a family, a nation that is walking in it’s own “crap” and passing laws saying “crap is good.” Promoting ALL to walk in crap and if you don’t walk in it we will sue you into oblivion and ruin their life. It’s like spitting into the Face of God.

Read Galatians 6:7 One More Time.

  1. Regarding the brazen sea dimensions, if you take the diameter as the OD and the circumference as the ID, pi works out with the hand breadth approximately 4” and the cubit 18”. Your deductions are quite impressive but I am not that knowledgeable to produce such logic. Anyway God makes no mistakes and pi is married to the circle. You are the only one I have seen comment on the seeming contradiction.
