Time & Seasons of Our Life

For about 2 weeks now I believe God has had me think about “Time.” When mowing my yard I use to always listen to worship music or a sermon being preached. Lately though I just think about God, pray and try to listen for His direction and desire for how I am to walk “before” (H6440 – in the face of) Him during the 40 minutes of mowing.

I believe God wants me to share with others His opinion of what we do and how we value the “Time” He has allotted to each of us.

Time is the most valuable thing God has given us apart from Jesus and all that encompasses. Even our health takes second place to our Time in this life. God reminded me of one of the richest men of the world, Steve Jobs. All of his wealth couldn’t buy him even one second more than the allotment of “Time” God had preordained for his life.

The picture at the beginning of this post really caught my attention a couple days ago. It’s the thumbnail to a Youtube video by Lion of Judah ministries. The main reason it got my attention is because of the “Time.” 1st it’s military time, the format I use daily in my line of work as I record arrival and departure times in my marine vessel log. But the more important thing about it is “The Time,” 19:54. It’s the year I was born so it really got my attention.

Lion of Judah ministries has some wonderful motivational Christian videos so I watched it. The scriptures it’s based on is John 21:15-17. Jesus asks Peter 3 times, “Peter, do you love me.” I could write a post on just the words used here. Jesus asks Peter if he “G25 agape” (God’s Love) Him. Peter answers, I “G5368 phileo” (brotherly, fondness) loves Jesus.

In verse 17 Jesus lowers the bar and asks Peter, “are you fond of Me.” Peter is not overly self confident, “open mouth – insert foot” any more and understands that he doesn’t have clue of what his heart is capable of but Jesus knows it entirely.

None of what I just wrote is what the video is about though. It’s focus is,

The video goes on to propose all the different “Theses” that we are capable of putting ahead of our relationship with Jesus. Oddly though, when I went back to watch the video a second time the thumbnail pic in the link changed and has remained since then to this,

For a small window in ‘Time,” May 28th 7:02am, the pic was one that would really get my attention being my birth year.

Since at least May 29th at 4:36pm it’s been,

Nobody has to or even can tell us how much of our “Time” we SPEND meditating on God, His Word, prayer or worshiping and praising our wonderful creator, EXCEPT Him.

27 Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world. Therefore, my brethren, when you come together to eat, wait for one another. But if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, lest you come together for judgment. And the rest I will set in order when I come.
I Corinthians 11:27‭-‬34 NKJV

So if Jesus has prepared a nice breakfast for you and after dining, He would ask you, “Do You Love Me More Than THESE” what is it in your life that you give more priority to than your relationship with your Creator.

This is another older video by Lion of Judah ministries that touches on the “Time & Seasons” God has allotted to each and everyone of us.
