Through The Eyes of A Child

In life we get used to pushing the limits like “you won’t get a ticket going only 3 mph over the limit.” Or showing up a few minutes over an appointment time.

In our relation with God we can focus on the “right or wrong, sin or not sin.” Pushing the limit and doing things that we think keep us right on the edge of what we think God will call sin showing immaturity as a Christian.

A mature Christian will have moved past the “is it a sin” question and think this is good but where is the better. Many things of the world are not sinful in itself but will rob our attention time to God or having a more fruitful life.

Apostle Paul said it this way,
1 Co. 10:23 KJV
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 18:2‭-‬3 NKJV

Jesus said we should become like innocent children when we come to Him. Not hardened and thinking “what’s in it for me” but the way my grandchildren make me feel when all they want is to give me a hug and say, “I love you pawpaw” then move on to play some more.

This story shows that we have a lot to learn by looking through the heart and eyes of a 5 year old child in our relationship with God first, then with others.

Daddy, Please Take It Off

Jesus CAN and WILL Break Every Chain of the things that bind us to this world if we really want to be free from them. When I decided to stop living a lukewarm Christian life and sincerely seek to have His anointing on my life things changed. God gave me a prayer, “show me everything in my heart that is not pleasing to you.” Our flesh doesn’t think that way, God’s Spirit working in us does. God continues to reveal to me the things hidden in my heart ready to pounce at the unguarded moments of life that dull a Godly Christian witness for Him. In His Mercy & Grace He reveals those things little by little instead of showing me EVERYTHING in me that needs adjusting to be conformed into the Image of Christ. One by One, Jesus will Break Every Chain that binds us if it’s truly what we want.
