Running my crewboat tonight, I took this pic. Watching the moon come up reminded me of a song from my youth so I looked it up to see what it was about.
1969, Fogerty reportedly wrote “Bad Moon Rising” after watching The Devil and Daniel Webster. Inspired by a scene in the film involving a hurricane, Fogerty claims the song is about “the apocalypse that was going to be visited upon us”.

Rabbi Yejutiel Fish, author of the Hebrew Torah blog “Sod Ha’Chasmal” suggests that the moon eclipse is not a mere astronomical incident but a sign from God, at least for American Jews as the eclipse will not be visible in Israel.
“It clearly is telling the Jews that they need to come to Israel,” he said to Breaking Israel News, a news site which delivers news “from a biblical perspective.”
“For the Jews who are still in the exile, the only way they can avoid tragedy is by coming to Israel,” he said.
The signs are all around us. Get Ready, Stay Ready, Be Ready
